by Jackie DeLorenzo

This lesson will be taught because in the intermediate grades, expository essay writing is ongoing. In the future, students will have to know how to write an expository essay in order to complete certain assignments, as well as tests given to them. In addition, the knowledge of expository writing will further students’ abilities to incorporate important information, details, and explicit explanations into their writing, which will be required of them in the third grade and in the years to follow.
