Middle-skills jobs, those that reauire more than high school but less than a four year degree, make-up the largest part of America's labor market. Key industries are unable to find enough trained workers to fill these jobs. The result is economic growth is stifled. This workshop will provide an overview of the new labor market of the 21st century, highlighting careers in demand, the importance of CTE, and workplace readiness skills demanded by employers. A daily assessment for student created in Google docs (an open source platform) will also be shared. This assessment is a great way for introducing and reinforcing Workplace Readiness Skills.
