ELECTRONICS TECHNOLOGY SELF-PACED PROGRAM

Electronics and Electricity are at the core of practically everything we touch -- from the basics of electrical appliances to the smart technologies available today!

This is a self-paced program for high school students studying electronics in a CTE program and students who want to explore electronics. In this program, you will learn all about the essential concepts of Electricity and Electronics. You’ll study the fundamental physics and laws, as well as how to apply your electronics knowledge. The program opens with a basic math and science review to ensure you have the core skills you’ll need to get started with electricity and electronics.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

Fundamental concepts of Electricity (Current, Energy, Voltage, Power)

Most important electronic components

The main laws governing currents and voltages in circuits

This program supports the material covered by a general Associate in Applied Science Degree.

The program is based on a segment of a Department of Labor grant awarded to the Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC) of Clinton, Muscatine, and Scott. The need for skilled engineering technology technicians is the driving force behind this project.  Demand for engineering technology graduates remains high and is expected to grow.

The original content provided at engineeringtech.org has been further enhanced for delivery in the Curriki platform through a grant from the AT&T Corporation.
